Travego Spare Parts Guide: The 10 Most Frequently Replaced Items

The Travego is one of the most widely used intercity coach bodies in Türkiye, and that prevalence shows on the parts side too: the same items are requested with the same regularity. Below are the ten part groups most in demand for the Travego at our counter, with the circumstances that bring each of them due.

The ten most frequently replaced parts

Ordered by demand: the first few come up several times a year, the last ones once or twice in a vehicle’s life.

  • Headlamp assembly — the most frequently replaced item, due to stone damage and condensation. Must be replaced in pairs.
  • Exterior mirror and mirror arm — takes constant knocks in tight passages and terminal manoeuvres. Available as glass only or as a complete arm.
  • Side indicator and marker lamps — LED equivalents last far longer than bulb types.
  • Door weatherstrips and glazing rubbers — the main source of water leak and wind noise complaints.
  • Front and rear bumper sections — first to suffer in terminal contact.
  • Shock absorbers — due at around 150,000 km, in pairs per axle.
  • Luggage bay lock and handle — the mechanism fatigues from constant use.
  • Wiper blades and arms — a routine pre-winter replacement.
  • Heater core and blower motor — the group most asked for in winter.
  • Seat recliner mechanisms and armrests — several a year, depending on passenger use.

Mind the model differences when ordering

More than one body sits under the Travego name, and their parts are not always shared. Between the 15 SHD, 17 SHD, RHD and 16 RHD there are real differences, particularly in headlamp assemblies, bumpers and mirror mountings.

There are also year-based facelift changes within the same model. Headlamp assemblies differ between pre- and post-2010 vehicles; they may look similar in size, but the mounting lugs will not line up.

So when you order, send three things together: the model name, the production year, and if possible a photo of the old part. With those three in hand, the chance of us sending the wrong part is close to zero.

OEM or aftermarket for a Travego?

Groups where aftermarket is a comfortable choice on the Travego: shock absorbers, wipers, heater cores, seals and rubber profiles, wheel trims, and lighting where quality LED units are available.

Groups where OEM makes more sense: electronic control modules, door mechanism components, and body panels where fit is critical, such as bumpers. In these groups aftermarket tolerances may not hold, and the extra labour eats the price saving.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Travego 15 SHD and 17 SHD parts the same?

Not entirely. There is high commonality on the engine and chassis side, but headlamp assemblies, bumpers and mirror mountings differ. Always state the model name and production year when ordering.

How do I get Travego spare parts pricing?

Message the part name, your model and its production year to +90 552 733 76 58 on WhatsApp. If you do not know the part’s name, send a photo. Pricing and stock usually come back the same day.

Is it safe to use aftermarket parts on a Travego?

In shock absorbers, wipers, heater cores, seals and lighting, quality aftermarket performs close to OEM. For electronic modules and fit-critical body panels, OEM is the better choice.
