When mirror glass breaks, the housing and arm usually survive. Replacing only the glass is then the right call and costs substantially less. The heating element is bonded to the back of the glass, so if the glass broke, the heating went with it.
If you do not specify heated when ordering, you will receive unheated glass and face fogging in winter. Do not confuse flat with convex glass either.
