The wide-angle mirror is the small convex piece below the main glass and it covers the near-side rear blind spot. When it breaks there is no need to replace the mirror head — the glass is clipped in and available on its own.
Watch the orientation when fitting: the left and right convex radii are not the same. A glass fitted the wrong way round narrows the field of view and makes the driver read the blind spot as closer than it is.
