A wheel trim is not only cosmetic: it keeps salt and mud off the nut heads, and exposed nuts corrode until they are hard to undo. The front axle takes a flat type and the rear a twin-wheel type — the two are not interchangeable.
Make sure every clip seats when fitting. A trim held by a single clip vibrates at speed, eventually comes off and can damage the vehicle behind. Clips are sold separately; there is no need to replace the whole trim.
