Sourcing Bus Spare Parts from Istanbul: An International Buyer’s Guide
6 minute read · ·BAYKOÇ Technical Team

The Grand Istanbul Bus Terminal in Bayrampaşa is the centre of the coach spare parts trade in Türkiye and, for many operators across the Balkans, the Caucasus, the Middle East and North Africa, the nearest deep source of parts for European coach bodies. This guide is written for buyers ordering from outside Türkiye.
Why source from Istanbul?
Because the terminal is the hub of intercity coach traffic, the spare parts trade clustered around it. Hundreds of suppliers operate in the same complex, and that density produces three advantages.
First, range: a part that cannot be found here is difficult to find anywhere in the region. Second, speed: the part is already on the shelf, so there is no waiting on a factory order. Third, knowledge: traders who have done this for decades will identify a part from a photograph even when you do not know its name.
For a European-bodied coach operating outside Western Europe, this usually means shorter lead times and lower prices than ordering through a dealer network — with the same OEM parts available alongside quality aftermarket alternatives.
How to order from abroad
You do not need to travel. Describe the part by phone or WhatsApp; if you do not know its name, send a photograph. Photographs work better than descriptions in almost every case.
Send the vehicle make, model and production year so we can confirm compatibility. We do not dispatch before fit has been verified — and if we send the wrong part, the cost of putting it right is ours.
We quote in TRY, EUR or USD, and accept bank transfer. Volume-tiered pricing applies for operators and workshops, and open-account terms are available to regular customers.
Shipping and customs
We ship worldwide through DHL, UPS and TNT, or through your own nominated freight forwarder if you prefer. Orders confirmed before 4:00 PM Istanbul time are dispatched the same day.
For export shipments we prepare the commercial invoice and packing list required for customs clearance. Where you need additional documentation — a certificate of origin, for example — tell us at the order stage and we will arrange it.
Where you are ordering several items, we consolidate them into a single shipment to keep freight costs down. For bulky items such as body panels or complete seats, sea or road freight is usually more economical than air, and we will advise on which route makes sense for your consignment.
Three things to have ready before you ask
The more precise the information, the faster and more accurate the answer:
- The vehicle make and model (e.g. Travego 15 SHD, MAN Lion’s Coach, Setra S 415).
- The production year — the same model can carry different parts across model years.
- A photograph of the part, or the number stamped on it. Say whether it is the left- or right-hand side.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order bus spare parts from Türkiye to another country?
Yes. Describe the part by phone or WhatsApp, or send a photograph. We confirm compatibility against your vehicle’s make, model and year, then ship worldwide via DHL, UPS, TNT or your own freight forwarder, preparing the commercial invoice and packing list needed for customs.
What currencies and payment methods do you accept?
We quote in TRY, EUR or USD and accept bank transfer. Volume-tiered pricing applies to operators and workshops, and open-account terms are available to regular customers.
How long does international shipping take?
Orders confirmed before 4:00 PM Istanbul time are dispatched the same day. Express courier delivery typically takes two to five working days depending on destination; road and sea freight take longer but are more economical for bulky items such as body panels or seats.
